Ajit Thakkar - Vice President - Fund Management and Research
With over 25 years of experience spanning across various sectors within the Indian equity markets, Ajit brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the forefront. He started off as a fundamental research analyst, his profile expanded to encompass roles in servicing professional Asset Managers.
During his tenure at SBI Capital Markets, Ajit initially focused on servicing investment professionals within the institutional broking space. Later, he transitioned to managing the Proprietary book. Subsequently, he moved to the investment banking vertical, where he managed many mid-market equity fundraising mandates. This involved tasks such as due diligence, liaising with legal counsel, regulators and ultimately marketing the issue to institutional Investors.
Ajit has also worked with organisations like IFCI Financials and Fortune Financials servicing professional fund managers and HNIs.
Prior to joining Alchemy, he pursued entrepreneurial ventures and managed equity long -short book at family offices.
He holds a post-graduate in commerce from Pune University, specializing in Finance & management and holds certifications for Alternative Analysis of Markets.
